IPL3 salaries still 'DUE'

Kings XI Punjab, owned by Preity Zinta, Ness Wadia and Mohit Burman have not yet cleared the dues of its players  like Yuvraj Singh and Irfan Pathan.
It has been reveled from the sources that Yuvraj was initially paid Rs 1 crore in August and he is still waiting for the rest of his salary, which is more than Rs 3 crore.
Pathan, also has not been paid at all for last season.Kings have given an undertaking that they will pay the players "as soon as the BCCI pays us for IPL 3". BCCI owes Kings Punjab an amount of  Rs 22 crore for IPL3.

Whenever the players demanded their salaries, Kings expressed helplessness saying their bank account was seized by the income tax authorities due to service tax issues.
We will pay the players once we receive the payments," a Kings official said

The IPL rule book says that if a team fails to pay its players on time, the board has the discretion to pay the players from the franchise's revenue share.
Rajasthan royals  too crossed the deadline of payment of the salaries to its players and have written "apology letters" to them.

It is a matter of concern. The players need to be paid for their work.BCCI needs to act quickly to ensure a release of the funds of teams. The delay in payment definitely puts the goodwill of the franchisee at stake, with the owners are constantly haunted with other issues.
