INDIAN COMPANY TOOK OVER AN EPL TEAM

Indian poultry firm, Venky's Limited is set to take over English Premier League (EPL) team Blackburn Rovers. In 39 years Venky's has gone from a small family business to Asia's largest poultry group. It is the supplier to McDonalds, KFC, Pizza Hut and Dominos pizza in India.

Dr B.V Rao launched the business in 1971.Pune-based Venkateshwara Hatcheries
Group, will be the first Indian firm to own an English Premier League club. The company is spending 40 million pounds (approx Rs 280 crore) to buy Rovers.

VH Group the largest Asian poultry group chairperson Anuradha J Desai said, "We expect to be the first Indian company to acquire a Premier League team. We are particularly delighted that the team is Blackburn Rovers, with whom we believe we have shared many values and ambitions, our company will be the first Indian firm to own an EPL club".
I hope this change in ownership will allow Rovers to spend reasonable funds in the transfer market. The club needed investment to progress.Rovers fans will now be hoping that this approach will bring results on the football field.
Rovers have not got any investment from their owners and have struggled in recent season to compete on a financial level with their rivals.
It is a prestigious moment for everybody and we should cherish this moment.
Mr Rao,the only way of attracting Indian fans is to ensure that Rovers should atleast remain at top side of the table. It should try to beat team like Chelsea,Manchester United ONCE which is quite difficult.

SHOCK U TURN,ROONEY IS BACK IN RED

Rooney made a shock u-turn on as he signed a new five-year contract with United after admitting that he wanted to leave Old Trafford because the club was showing a lack of ambition in the transfer market.
However, he won't be back in a United for a while as he is recovering after being stretchered out.

"I will be out for three weeks,I'm delighted to sign another deal at United," Rooney said,In the last couple of days, I've talked to the manager and the owners and they've convinced me this is where I belong."

Alex got "delighted" after Rooney had agreed to extend his contract.

"Sometimes, when you're in a club, it can be hard to realize just how big it is and it takes something like the events of the last few days to make you understand," Ferguson said. "I think Wayne now understands what a great club Manchester United is. "It's been a difficult week, but ... I said to the boy that the door is always open."
Rooney fans from Old Trafford gathered outside his place if he would have taken a step in to join United rival Manchester City.

Alex Ferguson, earlier said that he will put the controversial issue an end and Rooney will commit the biggest mistake of his professional life if chooses to move from Old Trafford.Rooney eventually agreed on 1,80,000 pounds a week contract with the management, making him the best paid player in the history of the club. But now in his new contract he will be paid 2,50,000 pounds per week.

Rooney soon be back to his best.I certainly can't wait to see him pull on the red shirt again.

WHAT?? ROONEY wants to leave MAN UTD.

England striker Wayne Rooney has told Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson that he wants to quit the club. The extraordinary news about Rooney's desire to quit Old Trafford sent shock waves to Alex and the footballing world around.

Ferguson, describing himself as 'shocked and disappointed', said,"Rooney is unable to provide an explanation for the desire to move after six successful years at the club, why he wants to leave a club that no-one can deny is the most successful in British football".

Here are some details about 24 year old Rooney:
He made his Everton first team debut as a 16-year-old in a season-opener against Tottenham Hotspur.
He became Everton's youngest ever scorer, with two goals in a 3-0 League Cup win at Wrexham.
Then United signed Rooney. Ferguson paid 25.6 million pounds ($40.40 million) for him.
Rooney has made 289 appearances for United, scoring 132 goals.
He has been capped 68 times and has scored 26 goals playing for england.
The striker was awarded with Golden Boot winner before the 2010 World Cup.

As the transfer window for the sale of the most successful football player in the world will open soon,Real Madrid's manager Jose Mourinho showed interest in signing Rooney for the 2011 La Liga season. Also Manchester City and Chelsea are keen on getting Rooney for the 2011 season.

Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka has admitted that he would welcome Rooney to Stamford Bridge.
Anelka said,"Rooney is a good player, everybody knows his quality. If he wants to come to Chelsea then he is welcome".

I believe, it is simply a greed move.He will fail miserably leaving the best football club in the world like Beckham, Scholes and Giggs. He has demonstrated no loyalty to his wife or to the club.

It appears that Wayne thinks he is bigger than the Club. His form has been terrible since his foot injury last year and other are playing much better than him. It's a team effort every game and I think that Alex should let him leave. There are many sincere and great players in the wing to take his place. He wants to play now for every Big Club in the World to make more money. And for this Rooney should try and join club like Chelsea FC or Real Madrid.
His this decision will be the most important of his life.

(B)End it like Beckham!!

England manager Fabio Capello,no longer sees the world renowned mid fielder as a part of england football team.for Fabio it is the time to give a chance to the younger soccer players who should be put in to the shoes of Beckham. He thinks Beckham is too old a player to be kept in a team.
Capello in 2007 dumped the footballer from the Real Madrid squad.

Beckham had himself often said that he had no intentions of giving up his England jersey yet.
Beckham said,"I've always said I won't retire from playing for my country, whether I never get picked again, play one more game or 10 more."

In fact, some sources have revealed that the top officials of england football even suggested that Beckham should replace Capello.
So, is there any sort of insecurity for Capello who is deciding to ‘retire’ Beckham?. I think he feels insecure by the most popular footballer that England has produced? Or is it just that Capello wants to show who the boss is?

However, an English football team without Beckham is like an Indian cricket team without Sachin Tendulkar. He still feeds those stunning passes that make the Beautiful Game so much more watchable. He still makes headlines even if he is not on the field.

There is no doubt that Beckham is a little old and the time has come to start looking for someone who can fit into his shoes. However,it is not the right time for England’s Football Association to let go its golden player as beckham is still capable of turning the game around.

A nation of football-crazy fans might not be ready for life without Beckham. Rather, football-crazy fans of the world might be ready for showing exit gates to Fabio.

All thanks to Saina Nahwal, who pushed India past England for second place in the gold medals' tally after winning single titles in badminton. After winning she burst into tears and ran into her mentor Pullela Gopichand's arms. The success of India's athletes, second in the overall medal table behind Australia created new stars, role models in a country where previously only cricket aroused such passion.

Sachin-The Terror Tendulkar

20 years of international experience and there have been several adjectives used for the 'little genius'. He has lived up to each one of them as his hunger for success just keeps growing by each passing day.At 37, he might not be the most athletic sportsman around, but his abilities to stand the test of time makes him the best batsman in modern day cricket.

On Day 4 of the second Test against Australia, he completed his sixth double century and is now tied with Virender Sehwag for the maximum number of double tons by an Indian.
Tendulkar, who was on 191 overnight, reached his double century with the quick single. It was the sixth double-century and his second in four Tests, making 203 against Sri Lanka at the Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo in July.

"It is always satisfying to score a century against Australia, because they are such a top side,I am enjoying the game as much as I did before. One has to just keep trying and not worry about the results. Our support staff keeps me fit and going."said Tendulkar.

Indian cricket is worth talking about only because of him.Sachin is now definitely The God of Cricket. No one can beat him .No one can even come near to him.He is amazing, growing day by day with his age.No one can say,he should retire. He should play as long as he desires. We will be lucky and greatful to have him in Indian cricket for a long time.

Sachin is a "Jewel" in the crown of India. He definitely deserve the "Bharat Ratna"award. If cricket needs any definition then it is defined in just two words i.e. Sachin Tendulkar.
SACHIN should be called THE TERROR TENDULKAR as he proves to be dangerous to all cricket playing nations especially the Aussies.

I will  wish him a long & continuous successful cricketing life and equally happy family life.

PUNJAB and ROYALS out from IPL 4

The termination of Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab from IPL 4 is sounding very surprising and strange. The teams have been made to pay a heavy price for their perceived proximity to dismissed  league chairman Lalit Modi by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).It is revealed that Modi had stakes in both the teams through some front men and women.

BCCI president Shashank Manohar said,“The Governing Council sought legal opinion and came to the conclusion that the contracts of Jaipur IPL Cricket Pvt Ltd (Rajasthan Royals) and KPH Dream Cricket Pvt Ltd (Punjab Kings XI) franchises need to be cancelled for the violation of the franchise agreement."

The termination of the IPL contracts of King’s XI and Rajasthan Royals, however, is unlikely to affect the future of the players like Yuvraj Singh,Shane Warne,Sangakkara,Jayawardene,Greame Smith and Shane Watson contracted by these clubs, as their three-year contract with the clubs already ended on September 26,2010.they would now be put for open bid in the auctions.

The spokespersons of both teams expressed “complete shock and surprise” at the IPL Governing Council decision.A majority stakeholder in Rajasthan Royals, Raj Kundra, better known as husband of actress Shilpa Shetty, is reported to have told a television channel that “they will take legal action” against the BCCI decision.Shilpa Shetty tweeted that she was shocked by the decision of BCCI.
The first expression on my face was WHAT and REALLY. HOW could this be possible?.Being a Punjabi I really felt that this is injustice being done to my team. How could BCCI suspend IPL1 winners from IPL4.This was not expected from BCCI at all. This IPL4 would now be less interesting for me as i would not have my Punjabi team to cheer for.I wonder what Mohalli stadium will look like without their team,Punjab Kings XI.

Delhi rocked India and CWG opening rocked the whole world

About 1,200 moving lights, 25 stacks of speakers and about 2,700 shots of fireworks spread across the roof of the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium created a spectacular opening ceremony of CWG DELHI 2010.

7 pm,the countdown started. The cheerfull audience made it clear that India is ready.Ready for a moment which India has been waitng for 8 years.Everybody in the audience was eying on the aerostat which, when went up,stirred the whole stadium. It was clear that the worlds largest aerostat was going to be the biggest highlight of the show. With the drums creating sensation in and all around the stadium, vibrant cultural extravaganza swept across the stadium and won hearts of thousands who were gathered there.

"We are prepared to deliver a great Games," he concluded. In his brief address, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said, "Welcome to India. Welcome to the Games. He proved himself to the man of his words.

Keshav, a seven year old playing tabla pulled everyone's attention.Tree Knowledge,Yoga ,the Great Indian Journey by Indian Railways and A.R. Rehman performance rocked India.

3 billion people saw the event live across the globe and saw how India was celebrating the grande opening ceremony. The Spectators were left spellbound in joy by the thrilling firecrackers show.It was because of the 2,700 shots spread over 88 locations on the roof of the stadium.

I wonder why media is not writing much about it now. Media was very eager in reporting every small and silly negativity of the preparation and the organizing committee. At last i will say that,India put behind a nightmarish build-up of scandals, filth and dirt and missed deadlines to come up with a dazzling and vibrant opening ceremony.I am proud of my country, its positive energies and never die-spirit.
