HAIDER:Not RUNNING TO SCORE But RUNNING To Save His Life

Pakistan wicketkeeper Zulqarnain Haider is sensationally leaving his team due to death threats for refusing to fix matches. The 24-year-old, who has played just one Test, four ODIs and three Twenty20 internationals, is under pressure and thought of dumping his team in the middle of the just-concluded ODI series against South Africa in the UAE.

"My family is still getting threats. I have decided to retire because there is lot of pressure on me and I can't take it," Haider told 'Geo News' from London.

Haider claims that he received death threats for refusing to fix the fourth ODI in the series which Pakistan lost by 2-3.He was approached by one person who asked him to fix the fourth and fifth match or otherwise he would have to face serious consequences.
Haider took his passport from the team management after the fourth ODI on saying that he wants to buy a mobile connection but, instead fled to London.

"The administration needs to be cleaned up as fast as possible,"says Imran Khan former cricket player for Pakistan.

Sadly, this incident give rise to the feeling that players are linked to bookies or are controlled by them. The team and the players who are involved in corruption, should not be spared.
I think the roots of match fixing lies within the PCB itself. Otherwise, why Haider would fly to England without informing the PCB bosses?
He also knows that these people are powerful enough, and that's why he did not come back to Pakistan. And now they have suspended him without hearing his story.Haider is now seeking for political asylum in Britain.
